Last year I posted about the saga of the coastal schooner John F. Leavitt and her owner and captain, Edward “Ned” Ackerman. The documentary film about the building of the Leavitt and her subsequent abandonment in a late December storm nearly 200 hundred miles southeast of Long Island had been removed from YouTube at the time of my post. Chris Cloutier, brother of the filmmaker Jon C. Cloutier, has restored and reposted the documentary on YouTube.
