Coming in the fall of 2027, my book about two young Cotuit whaling captains, who married each other’s sister, then sailed separately 20,000 miles to the coast of Russia where one was wrecked and survived a winter in Siberia at a Russian prison camp before being rescued the following spring by the other man. I’m nearly finished with the writing and have a busy summer ahead polishing the manuscript, checking the facts, finding maps, photos, and artwork. Then I need to share the draft with a few experts and willing readers before delivering it to the publisher, Pegasus Books, by November 1.
