  1. Release the hounds, David. I’ve been following this as well. Tghe foundations will make good barriers for fish and the larger species will be attracted to the floating mince meat created by seagulls, pelicans and spotted owls getting shopped up by the blades ( which is precisely what happened in California on the largest wind farm in Altamount Pass near Livermore,CA).
I’jm a big supporter of wind turnine generators and have been trying to get permission from the county and cityto erect and install aSeversky Rotor-based system on my land. no lulck so far hpwever.

    Be well,

    Jim

  2. The book mentions a disaster at Altamont, but what that was, it did not specify? Chopped birds? That’s the largest ecological concern for the Cape project, the expected effect on Arctic and Least Tern populations.

  3. there were two disasters at Altamont. 1) the Hells Angels took over security for a Rolling Stones/Doobie Brothers concert there, killing two attendees; 2 The propensity of the turbines to chop up endangered Peregrines in mid air (125 estimated) and one lost bald eagle looking for a nearby lake with stocked trout.

  4. I see that Mr. Forbes made the same comment here, which I made below. (I saw his after I posted mine) Perhaps my comment should move to here?
