Coming into the summer season this weekend, the traffic has tripled, the sidewalks of Cotuit are alive with joggers and bikers and baby carriages, and I am trying to stay close to the home fires.

I have a boat to paint, another to launch, lawns to mow, in-laws to entertain, family arriving from Florida, China ….

So — no travel for the next two weeks. Focus on some work stuff, then hit the road in mid-July for some Lenovo partnership meetings on the west coast.

Monday-Sunday: Cotuit. You know where to find me.

Packing for Beijing this morning I check for my passport, thumb through to find the visa. Expired. I am an idiot. Trip cancelled.

Condemned to Cotuit for the next two weeks because of nose surgery, perhaps three weeks with an attempt to get down to NYC by train at some point. Beijing coming together now for the end of the month.

Quick trip to North Carolina this week to handle some transitional stuff, Project Mayhem, and then girding loins for some mega-intra USA biz dev travel in February. Domestic travel+Feb.=delays, woes, and coats in overhead compartments.

Tuesday – Friday 1.20-1.23, Morrisville, NC
Busy week, re-org work, 2009 agenda setting, then back to chilly NE. NYC to follow in early Feb. — otherwise, no significant air miles expected to be logged

Monday – Sunday, Jan 12-19 Cotuit
Week following — Morrisville, NC. No other travel on the horizon which is a good thing because it is black ice and blizzard season in eastern Massachusetts and I seem to travel in my own personal version of a snow-globe paperweight.

Monday-Thursday: Jan 5-8 Morrisville, NC
Thursday-Saturday: Jan 8-10 Las Vegas, NV CES.
