I noticed a big increase in the spam coming into my blog this week.

It looked like there was a script working adaptively. I had a bundle of the same sort of messages caught by akismet, then finally one got through. I just added the common part of the url (proactiv.) to my comment blacklist in options and things calmed down to the regular 200 pieces of junk akismet kills per day.
FYI, the forum upgrade at RT has virtually killed the scripted spam…for now.
