I’m blogging from a meeting where global translation services are being discussed. I’ll get into some depth on the topic in a future post. But for now, I want to grab the projector cable and show this classic to my colleagues on the perils of bad translations.
At Narita looking for something to read coming home I came across a translation of John Steinbeck’s “Grapes of Wrath”
Its Engrish title was “Angry Raisins”
No shit.

You’ll appreciate this article I read today on the topic. It seems China understands it’s “Chinglish” problem and is attempting to clean it up for next year’s O-rym-pics.
