cancelled

Flight to RTP cancelled — likely due to high winds on the east coast. So I turned around and returned to the Cape. Will try again tomorrow afternoon out of Providence. Sigh.

  1. With the winds we’ve had here today, it’s a good day for being on the ground. RDU held departures because of the wind (don’t know the timeframe). It’s blowing trucks around and knocking down trees, too.

Winds at RDU now are 18 gusting 25, with a low-level wind shear alert and recent peak gust at 30 knots. Oh, and it’s 40 degrees off the runway heading, so it’s a gusting crosswind. Not a good day for flying.
